Located just minutes from Utopia Texas, this house is on of the oldest
and historic sites in the Sabinal Canyon. Originally built in 1870 by
John Crane Ware the son of Captain William Ware the first anglo settler
in the canyon. This home was passed on to Leobel Ware, daughter of William
Crane Ware and later entrusted to a Donoho nephew. This land has been
continuously owned by the Ware-Donoho family since 1852. The two story
stone home is furnished with older period antique furniture, has a fully
equipped kitchen and billiard room. This historical home sleeps 15 guests
with great comfort and space. A short walk on the property offers guests
beautiful clear waters of the Sabinal River for fishing, swimming and
shaded by dozen of century old cypress trees. The tree swing at the
river is a refreshing treat in the hot afternoon sun. Also enjoy 2 picnic
